Three Strand Cord is Not Easily Broken

Dear Beloved, I know life can be really hard at times. As I think of the empty chair in our home, I can feel the pain, I can feel the hole. I know the hard and painful. Though I am grateful it doesn't stop there.

Life can get hard really, really hard for us. The hardest of hard hit our family a real live nightmare throwing us into shock and disbelief. My daughter Tiffany no longer with us here on earth. I won't go into that now perhaps a future post. For now, I want to share I have learned through these hard times what a blessing it is to be a part of a body of believers who walk in love and are moved by the Holy Spirit. I have realized the importance of staying connected with the body of believers. Hard times has hit before but I failed to stay connected to Jesus and the believers whom God sends. I have fallen and learned from that fall in time and got back up by the grace of God. Maybe preparing me for my families hardest hit of all. I have learned to stay connected to the vine that is Jesus AND to the believers that God brings. I have been encouraged in the Lord in Love by other believers. Me and my family have been lifted and have been and are being comforted and reminded of God's love not only our personal time with God but also through the church I go to. And other believers God brings our way. I am learning that a "three-strand cord (really is) not easily broken".

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 KJV

" Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.

10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?

12 And if one prevails against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken."

in prayer and supplication

Faith Hope and Love

We will continue in one accord

When one falls down the other picks them up

A mourner is comforted with a full cup

A three-strand cord is not easily broken

The wolf comes to blow the house down

The wolf frowns

The wolf won't get a bone

The house won't fall

A three-strand cord is not easily broken

Father Son and Holy Spirit

Body of believers hear the call

A three-strand cord is not easily broken

Believers wrapped up as one in a blanket of Love

Together we learn we are not alone

A three-strand cord is not easily broken.

The holy Spirit comes down like a dove

We are all not meant to be on our own

Hear you believers, men and women

A three-strand cord is not easily broken

Believers don't give up on meeting together.

May we hear the call to stay connected. May we spur one another toward love and good deeds and encourage one another. May we hold each other up in hard times and rejoice together in good times. May we remember that we are not alone and remind each other of that. And may we remember "a three-strand cord is not easily broken. Amen.
